Renegades July Update
I kept starting and stopping and re-working the plot... so where am I at, now?

The Big Update
The plot, at least at the highest level, is finished. There will undoubtedly be tweaks during the writing process but I have the general chronology and geography set.
Speaking of geography, here's a sneak peak for you:
...Is that Russia I am opening with? Yes. Am I going to explain more? Not yet, but I will reveal that the Prologue is centred on Nikolay.
Xavier, Nikolay, and Stefano
Nikolay will feature strongly in Renegades, as will Thailand. Xavier will also be back in the air, where he belongs.
But what about Stefano? I don't want to give away too many spoilers, but I can reveal that Chapter 1 is also in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Stefano is a comlpex character who needs more page time. I think all of us have a Stefano in our lives - someone or something that we feel we don't deserve and so we don't reach for.
Personally, I am not very good at judging when I am being justifiably reserved versus when I am being a coward. For better or worse, life is more interesting if you take a leap of faith.
Am I hiding anything else in my minimalist chapter headings?
Yes, and I assume you are all used to this by now (sorry).
Renegades jumps through East Africa, cuts through India, traverses the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea... you get the idea.

How long will I keep you waiting?
If everything goes well, I will have a complete draft finished this year.
I know how fast I can write when I am in the zone, and I no longer have to balance studying for profressional exams (phew). HOWEVER, I also know there are times when it's best to let the manuscript breathe. I will keep you all updated on progress as I go.
Editing takes a while, so early next year is a reasonable estimate. If you are dying to get your hands on a copy beforehand, I'm always happy to have Beta and ARC readers. Feedback, as always, is my primary goal, and pre-release feedback is as valuable (if not more so) as post-release reviews.
